Lina is an associate in the firm’s Miami office, where she has worked since 2020. Lina’s practice focuses on business-to-business commercial transactions in various industries, including, technology, logistics, banking, and healthcare and pharmaceuticals. Client engagement is integral to efficiently closing transactions, and Lina is committed to maintaining a high level of communication and responsiveness.
Lina is a board member of PAWS4you Rescue, Inc. an animal rescue organization based in Miami, Florida.
Represents clients across industries on commercial transactions for technology development, acquisition and licensing, including software licensing, software as a service (SaaS) offerings, hosted solutions, cloud technology, managed services, integration and implementation services, data storage services, support services, benchmarks, and service levels (including uptime guarantees, service credits, disaster recovery plans, and responsiveness metrics) with vendors and third-party providers, including hosting providers.
Prepares, reviews and negotiates customer-facing contracts and terms and conditions for technology product sales and licensing and co-branded and white-labeled products and services.
Represents clients in strategic initiatives relating to investment in innovative and industry disruptive technology in the media, telecommunications, health care and pharmaceutical industries, including purchase of stock in developing technology companies, collaboration and joint venture arrangements for new revenue streams and expansion into new markets and industries.
Prepares, reviews and negotiates consulting and services contracts, including contracts related to professional, staffing, marketing, sponsorship, promotion and advertising services.
Assists corporate legal departments by working directly with corporate business personnel to negotiate agreements and develop corporate business opportunities.
Represented a New York commercial bank on a bond-to-bank financing of up to US$250 million with MIGA’s NHFO cover to a state-owned financial institution in Panama.
Represented a portfolio company on the US$330 million refinancing of its cold reserve power plant.
Represented the initial purchasers in the US$1.1 billion bond offering for the refinancing of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel.
Represented a commercial bank as administrative agent on a US$138 million syndicated term loan facility for a Panamanian bank.
